I hadn't heard of it before. Shows how little coverage this stuff gets on the media.
I have seen a documentary on weaponization of space on CBC and it was depicted as a huge and very secretive business.
Makes you think but my opinion is at the moment space weaponization is aimed for controlling Earth. Fighting aliens or defending earth from aliens is not on the agenda yet

| The weaponization of space is inevitable if its not already a reality. Everywhere people go they take their weapons with them. It starts with a knife, and escalates from there. How can you have a society without conflict? |
