I just want to let you guys know that space 'terrains' are in. How much it's going to be developed we shall see based on testing. But things are looking up for this feature.

Wasn't that in one of the Star Trek Movies? It's got to be.[edited] |

ST2: The Wrath of Khan. It's the "terrain" they use to give Khan's Miranda Class light cruiser a good kicking!
It also happens to be one of the best ST films, as it has (nearly) the most ship-to-ship combat footage out of all of them. Though ST6: The Undiscovered Country is good for it too.
Anyway, what sort of terrain are we likely to see Zaimat, and what will it's effects be on ship movement/deployment? |

Not only correct, but precisely so. BTW, I hope you mean ST6 was good for ship-ship combat and not that it was a good movie. I think it stunk to high heaven. xx( Whereas ST2 is the pinnacle of space faring movies.
Okay, now on to the bonus round . . .
What about the second part of the statement? What are the odds of successfully navigating an asteriod field, and from what movie?[edited] |

"Several million to one" at the outside edge. The film was The Empire Strikes Back, the second of the three Star Wars films.
BTW Yes, you're correct Sobriquet, I did mean that ST6 had some good ship-to-ship combat. As a film, it was poor, though Christopher Plummer was quite good: 'You haven't heard Shakespeare unitl you've heard it in the original Klingon.' Hurrah! |
