I found my way here from the MoO3 forums and Horizon looks to be a great game. Do you know how soon you will be ready for Beta testing? Do you have a sign up for Beta testers, if you need any? Can you give us a full list of the races yet?

Thanks!

Welcome Robert. We will make an announcement when beta starts, I cannot say more at this time other than we are working very hard toward that stage. Smile

Regarding the races, beside the humans there are 10 major alien races. In the coming months we will introduce most of them in the goodies section.

Have a good weekend.

I found the goodies section and watched the trailer. This looks awesome! Do you have any idea of the minimum hardware requirements for this yet? Thanks.

The game will be playable on any pentium class system with win98/XP/2000 with DirectX8.1 or higher.

For *good* performance you will want a Pentium3+ or AMD Athlon 1ghz+ system with at least 256megs of RAM (512megs runs things a lot smoother with WinXP).

You don't mention a graphics card. Is this because of the use of sprites?

I can't be too precise at this point about the video card(s) but our goal has been DirectX8.1 support for all intents or purpouses. We are looking at some DX9 features that may enhance quality or speed w/regards to graphics/animations. Basically all video cards (chipsets) released in the past few years should work.

Having a relatively new system will give you a more responsive, smoother game though due to video/memory bandwidth as well as cpu speed.

Fantastic! Now to get my expensive new "paperweight" to work... Sad
