I do not know if this was asked in the past and I apoligize if this topic was aready covered but, will we have the ability to custom design our ships like the MOO series? If so, to what extent? Being a fan of the series (yes I like MOO3), I felt that having the ability to customize my fleet added a lot more to the game.

Yes you get to customize and design your own ships in Horizon.

It's divided into 3 areas. Weapon bays, system components and specials. You get to pick from the list of all available technologies.

a few posts into this thread there is a duscussion about ship design.
http://www.l3o.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42

when i remembered the thread i searched for it, but the search function does not work properly...
it seems it searches only the threads that were created after the forum upgrade.(enter "ship" or "moo3" to test it, words that are used often Smile )
now i guess thats difficult to repair and only a minoir issue, so its just a small remark from me...

Well... this I can answer, Theralun -- I'm pretty familiar with how phpBB works. It has a table with all the words it's tracked, and another table with all the post IDs in which those words appear.

Creating that table by hand is almost certainly impossible. I *think* that if a mod came through and 'edited' every old post, adding an extra return to the end or something, these tables would get updated as they went through. I'm not 100% sure on that... and I doubt Zaimat has time for that right now anyway.

Thanks for pointing this out and the explanation RobH. I hadn't tried the search function. That is too bad. Perhaps like RobH said some mod out there does this. Will check.
