ENTERPRISE : CANCELLED

Well, what's been threatening to occur seems to have finally been done.

According to STARTREK.COM both UPN and paramount have announced the latest Startrek show has been cancelled after what will be 4 years.

It will be shortest lived show from the franchise (not counting the animated show).

And no matter what people say, i'm sad to see it go. No, it might not have been the best, and goodness knows they weren't exactly faithful to the Startrek universe... but come on, it's Startrek. Anyone who grew up in the 80s and 90s...can you imagine a decade without some weekly or monthly dose of Klingon/Romulan/Ferengi/ (insert what-have-you).

And with the lack of success of the movies... I worry that this might be last of anything Startrek for some time...

T'is a sad day for Trekkies and sci-fi fans...

And, of course, my personal opinion on the subject is simple. Get the hell rid of berman.

Then you at least have a chance of coming up with something cool that might survive for awhile and revitalize the genre.

Well, for those who might still be interested, the last 3 episodes of Startrek:Enterprise will start this friday (sorry, that's for Canada and the US).

It shows some promise... It's going to cover the birth of the Federation (no pun intended). It's supposed to show the best and the worst of humanity. Classic theme with a surprise ending.
