Hello all! Hope you've had a good Christmas and New Year.
So gang, what's going on in the development of Horizon at the moment? Anything new you can add to the mix Zaimat?
Perhaps a little update as to the state of play.
Please. |

Uhh. Let's not turn this place into a repeat of the sewers just yet... patience, grasshopper! _________________ Robert, the Earl of Huntingdon

Work is progressing,
A lot of the work has been related to messaging the past few weeks, including diplomacy etc.
I hope to have some new stuff very soon. Long overdue. _________________ Horizon - Lead Designer |

Probably because of the work people like you have done to actually make MoO3 playable.
If such a thing can be achieved... |

Heh... well some of us have tried. Some more than others. I gave up a lot quicker than some -- shoot there are some that still haven't given up. There are even unofficial 'patches' for several major bugs out there now.
I'd just about fall off my seat if they actually made an appreciable difference.
Still, they keep trying. And I will continue to cheer them on. But short of somebody managing to get their hands on a full copy of source code and a team of about 15 developers, of whom each *individually* has more talent than every single programmer at any major company you want to name combined... then I doubt it can be done well enough to bring me back. The game is just too far gone.
Of course, I would be absolutely delighted to be dead wrong. But I don't expect to be.
Oh well. Back to your regularly scheduled breathless anticipation of Horizon news... _________________ Robert, the Earl of Huntingdon

nice guide to the galaxy.
i somehow wonder about the "[...]the first borns were created[...]" line.
a truly epic plot perhaps? ...it must be ages since i played a game with one. |
