Any issues with browsers please report

If you guys notice any problems with different browsers please post here in detail (browser type, version, problem etc).

We all run IE in-house and stats indicate most are also using IE but still we would like to know if any problems with the less common browsers (opera, mosaic, netscape).

I have no problems with mozilla. Which, btw, is a really great browser if you are bored and want to try it out.

Anything in particular that you like about Mozilla? I have heard good things about it but have not tried it.

Tabbed browsing is really nice. I have one 'window' open as far as windows knows, yet I can control-tab through the open tabs easily, or pick them from the tab bar. It's not perfect. When you click a link with the 'target="_blank"' tag it opens a whole new browser window instead of a new tab. xx( But you can easily right click and select between 'open in current tab', 'open in new tab', and 'open in new window' as desired. And you can configure it for 'middle click' or 'ctrl-click' to always open new tabs. So you can have two or three OS level windows with multiple tabs and alt/ctrl tab through everything as needed really easily, yet save the taskbar space exactly as much as you want to, no more, no less.

It has a built in popup-stopper. That's handy. It has a built in IRC program, and can use skins. It has an excellent password manager. It can display png's and many other esoteric graphic formats on the web page with transparency effects and all handled without a sweat. And despite all this it's not bloatware at all, only about 20 MB installed (and heavily used for months). Contrast that with the last few versions of Netscape... (Mozilla is the base upon which Netscape is built.)

But the very best feature for me, and the reason I tried it out, was because of the mail reader. I have used Netscape 4.72 for years, partly because I really liked it, but also to avoid the email viruses. With MS under fire from thousands of hackers, my system is a lot safer using something other than Outlook or Outlook Express for email. But I couldn't view most webpages with such an old browswer. I finally got around to upgrading and found their new mail reader here is quite good, and also includes a pretty good, trainable spam filter.

So while it's not necessarily for everybody, I really like it a lot.
