Just found out about this game. Sounds promising, I'm waiting for this game, but as a 3d-graphics student, a piece of constructive critisism:

by seeing the teaser and pictures in goodies department, your graph-team needs more experience. Models are semi-ok, but texturing is poorly done. Much repeating, poor usage of bumpmapping, effects and alphachannel, really low level of detail in textures and in models where it counts and animations could be better and that one alien seen in teaser is just horrible. I understand that these are far from final, and you work under tight schedule, but I wish to see more professional grip. Do your graph team a favour and put them on a week lesson of Homeworld2 to see how texturing should be done.

But I have much faith in you and I'll follow your development closely.

Or is this your opinion on most games and 3d artists in the game industry?

Sorry but I find little constructiveness in your critisism and I'm not even a 3d artist.

While we do think we can do much better given more time you are basically saying everything is more or less horrible, including our artists while throwing 3d terms left and right. I guess from your point of view as a student you can say such things about people working for a decade in this field.

When you start to work in a game development environment where you are constrained with time, tools and game design issues I think you'll learn to appreciate things a little more.

Still if you feel you are that exceptional a 3d artist, please point to your past work so we can better appreciate your comments in context.[edited]
