But there are a few things that really bother me.

1) Is there a time-table and/or progress report?
2) This forum is dead duck.
3) I don't see much exposure.

I understand you want to avoid the hype. Seeing what happened with Moo3 I can't say I blame you. But you aren't developing MOO3, you are developing a quality product, or so it seems.

I'd like to see some information posted.

1. nope.
a request for something like a developver diary was denied, with the reason that Ziamat regularly visits the Forums, and gives (more or less Wink ) explicit answers to your specific questions.
(which is true, to some extend. most answers end with a "more to be unrevealed later" though... Evil or Very Mad Wink )

The (internal) beta phase should have started already, based on a month old statement... *cough*

2. true...partly based on #1.
we know little about the "true" game. mostly only what ziamat mentioned in various threads.

3. *sigh* no one of us does, and we all would like to...

4. my post didnt help you at all... but at least you got a reply until Ziamat answers Smile

overall i can live with the small, and unsteady flow of information.
it not only prevents the hype, it also does not spoil the taste by... spoilers.
Smile

The important thing for us is to develop a good and unique game. Seeing as we are fans of the genre. I think that is also what every fan desires.

Bottomline the game will be released when it's ready. And more information will be released as time passes, there is already quite a bit of information as well.

Seeing as we are totally independant, there are advantages to that but also dis-advantages. We don't have anywhere near the same resources as the MOO3 team did plus it's a totally New game so it's a huge challenge and we are making a lot of sacrifices to make this happen. But we think the time and effort is well worth it. And we hope you will agree later on Smile

No disagreement there. Surprised

When it comes down to it, that's the most important thing. That's ususally the difference between a good and well recieved game, and that of a bomb, and error ridden game.

Yipeeeee
Four replies.

Forum is not totaly dead then.

I noticed that Zaimat does answer questions, and that is good...but

the difficulty is coming up with good questions.

I salute all and any independent developers, especially those who go out into fringe (or niche) markets.

I got so nostalgic this weekend I installed Moo2 Laughing
