Hiya one and all!

Sorry for the long silence. As you know, internet access has been a little patchy of late.

Anyway, how's it all going gang?

I don't suppose anyone could give me a quick rundown of events since I was last here. I know that's lazy, but I don't have the option of scanning through all of the last posts. Sorry about that.

Rav.

Thanks guys. I've been doing a lot of work away from computers with the Internet, but I hope to resolve the issue at home soon with a broadband connection. That way I should be able to stay in the game as it were. Laughing

So, what's new at the zoo? Are things going according to plan Zaimat?

Love it? More like become addicted within 15 minutes to the point you feel like you can't live without it... Very Happy

But anyway, nice to see at least a little chatter going on here. But during the next downtime when we have nothing to discuss here you all should drop by the Orion Sector... we've got a lot more than just MOO3 there now... and there's even been a fair bit of chatting on the forums recently.

Will do Rob. I thought you'd given over the care of Orion to someone else. My mistake. How's things going over there anyway?

Pretty good. Wraith signed up for the crew over there so now we have added Space Empires and updated GalCiv a bit.

Plus we have a whole archive on Pardus we recently declassified. I had set up an alliance in that game, but eventually I had to choose between the game and RL. So I had retired but the alliance had continued for quite awhile and became the most powerful alliance in the game (by far) and the devs didn't like it. So they made a bunch of feeble excuses, and ended up banning 95% of the membership of the alliance for no reason. Well actually there was a reason, the Rangers knew just how corrupt the devs were and they got tired of being worried about that. So now instead of keeping things fairly quiet (which we were doing before), everybody gets to know the whole story of exactly what happened. It seemed only fair, they banned us to keep us quiet so we started speaking out... Twisted Evil

But enough on that. I'm working on a SE: Starfury mod and I hope to have that up there soon. I'm also going to write up a strategy guide for Starfury. Wraith might be doing one for SE IV, not sure yet. It gives me something to do while we wait for more info on Horizon (hint hint! Razz), SE V, and Galciv II.

Have to say I'm rather happy that there are this many TBS games in development right now. 5 years ago I thought the genre was dead and gone and was rather sad about it. Now today I hope it's finally started it's long overdue comeback.

Good to hear. SEIV is a cracking game.

Right on brother! I can't say I've followed events (due to my Internet situation as you know) but I don't like that sort of thing at all. These are games that are meant to be fun and shared with the community - the free-flow of ideas and the swapping of stories - not the censorship of the many for the limited opinions of the few. Evil or Very Mad

Sorry about that outburst, but it does need saying.

That is so true. It's fast approaching IG2 season for me personally. I always seem to replay that game during the summer. I guess it keeps me indoors where I belong! It's always good to have alternatives and I'm a firm believer that the genre has never received the level of attention or accalim that it has so richly deserved on occasion.
