Just wondering what's happening in the world of Horizon. Haven't heard anything for ages - there hasn't even been a post on the boards since Aug 4th.

Yes i am...unfortunately i've experienced problems to upgrade my ATI videocard and am therefore unable to play legion arena. I really hope Slitherine makes a breakthrough with this game.

Hello everyone! No I haven't forgotten you guys
The past months have been quiet from our side but all effort has been focused on the actual game.
One day when this is all over I plan to write an article on how things progressed from start to end. But that will have to wait till we're done.
My intentions were not to release any new screens until beta 1 but since it's taking so long, I hope to have some new stuff and possibly some alpha interface screens in the coming days.
I know other games release clean interface screens very quickly even before the game is in [actual] beta. Everyone has their own way of working and budget. I can only speak for ours. And we had decided to hold off on the interface graphics until after beta when all features were finalized. So the current screens will be with placeholder graphics until we redo them.
A new section will be opened, called 'gameplay' (been wanting to do this for a long while now) where I hope to add more info on how things actually are in Horizon and how it plays.

great! its not dead...
i for myself dont need sreenshots or anything ASAP, but a life sign every now and then is really a morale boost.
all the vaporware out there can really discourage someone.
hope you and the hole team have fun.
and i really hope it takes at least half a year before you accept applications for a beta test, since it will take me that long to get a good internet connection again...  |

What is "Transient"? It is listed as a special ability listed in the latest screenshot.

There is alread an immaterial, and I think I got the spelling right; it is transient not transend. The question remains.

From the setup screen and the english meaning of Transient it looks like a choice of personality that doesnot care and goes with the flow.

I'm betting it has something to do with increased migration or faster ability to move (or encourage movement of) people to and from various planets.
