The forums are undergoing some 'under-the-hood' changes.
None of it should be affecting it's functionality.
But just in case, if you do notice any problems please report on this thread.
Thanks. _________________ Horizon - Lead Designer |

Yup, found one here. That link 'Horizon Forum Index' is broke! It just takes you back to your currently location instead of the forum home (you're apparently using $PHP_SELF) and that's not good. Without this link there is no easy way to get back to the top level of the forum! Granted this isn't a huge inconvenience since most of what we want to do is in the main forum, but if we want to get to this one or the goodies forum it's a lot harder -- we either have to use a bookmark to get back to the top, go to your main homepage and follow the link back, or scroll all the way to the bottom of whatever page we are on to use the forum jump link... none of which are super convenient. It's also a lot harder to get back to the forums after reading/writing a PM.
You probably want to echo out "$SERVER_NAME/forum" instead. _________________ Robert, the Earl of Huntingdon

Hmm, seems to work fine for me. Can you clear your browser cache and try again. And is it happening anywhere you have the 'Horizon Forum Index' hyperlink? _________________ Horizon - Lead Designer |

Cleared and no effect. And yes, it happens to EVERY copy of the 'horizon forum index' link. Every single one points back to exactly what I have in my location bar, which led me to think you were using $PHP_SELF... However, I am running this under mozilla. I'll try internet exploder here just in case...
And yup, no problems under IE. So this is a browser issue. Hmm... well there is a bunch of code in there checking for which browser the client is using. Maybe something got goofed up in the mozilla section... _________________ Robert, the Earl of Huntingdon

Problem solved. U_INDEX was set to root '/', IE was assuming correctly the root of forum while mozilla was assuming the current topic. Replacing it with /forum/ seems to work for both.
Thanks for pointing it out. _________________ Horizon - Lead Designer |

That was a change when the forum got its first major overhaul.
All the older posts and members were pushed back in time.
Muhaha, obey me, or I prevent your birth! |

The dated from 1969 thing has been fixed. The database had to be pulled forward in time by zathras. _________________ Horizon - Lead Designer |

snicker... which zathras? Aren't there like 9 or something? And who took care of the great machine while that zathras was distracted, hmm?
Maybe that's why the world is so screwed up these days, zathras was too busy fixing a forum to keep the great machine working straight...
