I really like the concept art. I am very fond of a comic called "Valérian and Laureline" which started in the beginning of the 70' and is still made (bought the last book yesterday)...anyway they made the concept of the 5th Element movie. Many of the concept art would fit well in that science fiction universe...i especially like the last drawings with the lady...very cool (i hope to meet her in my first game ) _________________ I may not post so much...but i am here watching! |

i like the ship concept art.
i really like it.
i even like it much better then rendered ships...
do you know old games like "reunion", or "dark universe"? (both only medicore games even at their times IMO)
but they had kind of "painted" ships, like the conept art, and i really like that style.
a painting just looks so much more atmospheric as even the best rendering.
but i guess i am just getting old... |

I like the concept drawings as well, I'm an amateur artist ( self-promo link to some of my drawings) so I am always fascinated by other peoples work. Drawings are particularly cool, although renders can be pretty awesome, as well.
I got to tour EA last week and got a look at a couple of new games that are being produced in house. There were a couple of 18"x 24" posters of character faces hanging on the wall. At first glance I though they were photos and wondered aloud how they came by them. It turns out they were renders done completely on computer. I was floored. You had to look really close to see any "jaggies" that gave it away as a render. The person giving the tour said that they will be producing games with "Shrek" level of animation quality in-game on the next generation consoles. It's very exciting stuff. (Well, for a hard core geekazoid like myself anyway.) _________________ i am sofa king we todd it |
