As I noticed, now I can get experience. Have no idea why, but still looks good.
But I get exp for 1. Killing ships and 2. Capturing ships. If ships got self-destroyed after capturing, I got nothing!
Is it intended to be so? And why then? Ship is destroyed after all!
(Side-question: I never tried it, of course, but if I'll get experience for "fast forwarded" battles? Intuitively, I must, but do I?
No experience for self-destructed ships - intended?
Re: No experience for self-destructed ships - intended?
Yes ships (their crew) gain experience now and ranks.
I can confirm self-destroyed ships don't provide experience points. This is working as intended currently but I'm not against changing it.
And yes, auto-resolve/fast-forward will give experience in the same way.

Well, it could be arguable question, if only one, killing ship receive experience. But as experience is distributed equally for the whole fleet, I believe, I must get experience for the self-destructed ships too. It's basically the same as killing it with fire, only even more complicating (so definitely teaching), no?

Yes it makes sense, I'm adding this with the upcoming update!
