Hiya,
I am loving the game, but the one main thing that annoys me beyond belief is the fact that even if you play on the largest map size, the map is still exactly the same size, just more stars, which ultimately, still leaves you always starting with atleast a single race in the same sector as you, which means that race will be at war with you unless you endlessly brown nose yourself to keep them happy.
I suggest 3-4x the current sectors we have now, this way, the AI and the player will be unable to explore as fast as we are capable of right now and seeing the AI go from one side of the galaxy to the other to just start talking to me and they do, 4 colonies could be in sector 1, i am in sector 6 and then within 2 turns of them saying hello to me, totally outside of communication range i might add, they somehow get a colony ship that far out there and colony created and then their complaints come in....too close, i colonize a single planet in one of my currently own system......slow down expansion or else......war is declared the next turn.
So, to prevent this, i suggest adding in 3-4x more sectors, totalling at 24 sectors, much better that way and i won't encounter a race in 5 or so turns.
What do you guys think?
