Anisotropic space is not anisotropic enough

Post by Smiling_Spectre »

I just confirmed one problem with the anisotropic space of Horizon.

While any ship can move by horizontal axis twice of distance of the vertical one, weapon haven't this restriction.

So suddenly, it's much more effective to flee horizontally than vertically. Also missile, being low-effective as is, totally useless in "vertical" direction. Just because they can reach any ship that is above/under attacker only at half of the effective distance of the any other weapon.

Is it normal? Maybe it worth to modify something with weapons, if movement cannot be modified?

Movement is working accurately both for ships and projectiles. And you correctly noted that non-projectile weapons don't quite have the same restriction, this was done on purpose but maybe I can revisit the decision and see how it feels now if I change it to have the same constraint.
