Horizon.ini corruption

Post by beekeepers »

Exploring Sectors and using the Dig command.
Saved game to slot 5 as (4), exited the game.
System Locked read write, Had to power down system.
When I restarted Horizon got an info message that Horizon.ini was data corrupted. Loaded game and tried to load my saved game (4), Game crashed. Was going to load (3) saved game but decided to click the continue button. When the game loaded ships where in the correct locations. But the Sector info's was lost and where reset to unvisited.
Restarting my saved game (3) as I want sector info.

Game is very fun. Must play on.

We are not able to reproduce such a problem on our systems. It might be a bad write to disk while saving and your system locked up thereafter. Do you recall seeing if it displayed save successful?

To make sure Horizon.ini is no longer corrupt, please delete it after you exit the game and restart Horizon, it will be re-created (you will lose any custom configuration of windows and sounds etc).

We have an error reporting tool on the launcher if it happens again. Kindly issue us a report and we can analyze the files to see if any errors were logged.

For more on the error reporting please see: http://forum.l3o.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=433
