Tip: Currently if you ctrl+click on the map, it sets a waypoint for the whole taskforce. (you have to press enter with waypoints and the ships move). Or ctrl+right+click on the mini-map

eidolad thanks for the suggestions, will take it under consideration when we do another pass on adding more detail/info.
I'd expect retreat to work like this:
1. Move out of the combat sector on the shortest path possible. If all paths seem equally long, just move backwards the way you came from.
2. Wait for new orders as soon as combat zone has been left (triggers notification in turn summary).
3. If being attacked while retreating, cancel order like with moving when enganged.
Master Of Orion 2 = Great
Master Of Orion 3 = Trash
Horizon = The real Master Of Orion 3 :-)

Or another alternative for "how can I tell if what weapons are in the arc/range of that ship"?

Tie this into a "mouse-over" functionality. Rearrange the gui such that I can mouse over individual objects (ships or planets) and see what weapons of mine "show green" for being in range...this would need support the "take that weapon offline" functionality as well.
