Fusion Engines Won't Unlock

So I just started playing the beta. And boy does this game remind of some fantastic times I had with Master of Orion II. I'm really liking the game so far.

In any event, I did a dig site mission and came up with fusion engines. I researched them until they were at 100% and now...well, it's been a long time. Like 20 turns or something. The chance of that are not that good.

Hopefully there's a maximum time it sits there at "waiting for breakthrough" or something?

Reviewed the saved game and everything was working correctly (seemed just bad luck in making a breakthrough). Closing thread, please re-start a new thread if you encounter a problem.
