Re: add a few popup customization options for races
Zaimat, I'd like to say, you are the most responsive dev from any 4x game I have ever played. Thanks for all your hard work, and your direct involvement with the community!

40/5=8
Fighters are equivalent to 8 slots. And yes, they're horridly inefficient.

add a few popup customization options for races
Understanding that the game is hardcoded to only allow 13 races, and changing the races themselves requires modding...., I suggest adding a few options when customizing race, outside of modding. 1) Add in 'Racial Focus' trait selection, whole new panel. Basically, so that instead of modding to open ...

Conquered Homeworlds
Is there a way to say, exterminate the population of a conquered homeworld(after forcing a surrender) and then resettle it with my people, then terraform it, while having it remain classified as a homeworld? I seem to recall some bio-weapons tech(banned in all the civilized galaxy), but could never ...

Re: Har'kan Quest help.
Stargate technology is randomly discovered from ruins, and is rare af. That said, as a veteran achievement hunter from steam, I have a predilection for saving my games before choice points like that and reloading them to do things the other way once I've obtained the achievement. I honestly can't re...

Re: Never retreat!
I've actually had an issue with auto-combat in some of my recent games, attacking a world defended by one starbase and one missile battery with a fleet of 10 motherships packing heavy neutrino cannon X's, I lose my entire fleet about 2/3 of the time. When I enter manual combat, the AI doesn't even g...

Re: PBE Multiplayer
For turn based 4x games, play by email is my preferred multiplayer style. Cuts out a lot of the hassle that comes with setting up time to hotseat it, throw a lan party, or dedicate a chunk of time to logging into a remote server.

PBE Multiplayer
I've played a number of 4x games, and something which stood out in one of the Turn-Based series I played was a Play-By-Email Multiplayer option. Works something like this: 1) Players email their saved empires(or in this case race templates) to a person(not neccessarily a player) who acts as the game...

Re: Hunting for some missions!
Yes, this is my post-galactic conquest savegame, so all i'm doing is colonizing and terraforming the entire map. I'll stop expanding for a bit and make sure every planet is at 0.

Re: Hunting for some missions!
Oh and you can't fail quests although some quest paths are closed as you make choices, so you can't complete all paths in one game. Got all but barbeck now, I'm unsure if I perhaps locked myself out of this one. All of my colonies are at 0 pollution, but they are also all terraformed, except for th...

Re: Hunting for some missions!
Of course, now that I've gone there, I figured out the Barsig mission and found the Tantik mission. Still stumped on Barbeck though.

Hunting for some missions!
Having a bit of trouble tracking down a couple of missions, and figuring out how to complete another: Where are/What are the: 1) Barbeck 2) Tantik missions? I assume they all come from the little mission markers on some surveyable planets, just haven't found them in my games yet that I'm aware of. O...

Couple more things
Is there a way to mod the various 'racially-locked' techs to be available to all when customizing a race, but still leave the defaults as-is? e.g. Humans retain existing starting techs, but when customizing, I could drop them and choose Organic engines and power sources instead if nuclear? Is there ...

Re: Can you mod available planet types?
Actually, yes =pZaimat wrote:Yes, Toxic and Gas Giants are the two types unavailable for homeworld. It can't be mod enabled currently as it is hard coded.
Want to role-play a toxic native race?

Can you mod available planet types?
Really, the only one unavailable to choose for starting planet is toxic, but I'd like to be able to choose Toxic for homeworld. Is it possible to mod this?
