Suggestion - game for the tablets (ipad and android)

Just finished my first game (didn't have a computer able to run it before) and had lots of fun even though it was a defeat (mostly due to the Tantrik). It seems to me that the UI of the game makes it very friendly for touch and i believe it would do well on ipad or android tablets as there are only few 4x games there. I have Imperium Galactica II on my tablet, and, while i enjoy it, the Real-Time aspect and the UI makes it less suitable than Horizon...what do you think?

You are right, most of the controls work fairly well on tablets and with some additional work it could be even better.

The main thing holding us back is that the game engine is custom and DirectX9 based so porting to iOS or Android isn't trivial.

There are more and more Windows 8.1 tablets though and the game should run on those natively, especially the ones based on newer intel core i5 or similar processors.

You're right...we'll see how windows 8 will expand now that it's going to be for free for smaller sizes.
