[450] Some issues

Hi Zaimat,

I've had a few days to play the beta and I've seen some odd things, so I'll throw them at you and see if you need a save game because they appear to be easy to duplicate ...

(1) Event Log (regarding Dig Order Completion) ... The Event Log will state that the fleet has completed the "dig order", however when I select the fleet it still shows the active order being dig. I never saw this in the alpha and I'm guessing that when the ship is ordered to dig, it sets a waypoint to the planet but if it gets close to the planet before it finishes it's move then the event log will call the mission complete without waiting for the ship to reach the planet? Anyway, if I don't give the ship another order, and click next turn, it will revert to "awaiting order" (normal) next turn. Really odd but no harm no foul that I can see.

(2) Discovering New Tech (when I already knew it!) ... Most of the time when the dig mission is complete, the discovered tech is already known. I don't remember that being too common in the alpha. One funning tech I (re)discovered was called "Robotics Manufacture", there isn't one but the closest I could see was under "Construction" called "Robotics". Most of the time it rediscovers the same tech but the good news is that I get an advancement in the tech I "newly" discovered ... :) I can't tell you if it is just a typo in the event log or it is indeed not checking to see if I know the tech already before telling me I discovered it. During two plays of the game (one normal, now classic) I'm seeing this rediscovery ... As a joke, I might expect the event log to tell me I discovered the "wheel" again :P ... Oh, when I state "most of the time" it's like maybe 3 outta 10 at the worst.

(3) Territory Confusion? .... Race gives me his system, then hollers next turn "Quit expanding into my territory" ... This is one of those "Hello McFly?" kind of events :roll: ... You know, what part of giving me the system next to your system did the alien not understand? ... :mrgreen: ... I just nod my head and say "ok, I promise not to expand .... muahahahaha".

Thanks and holler if you need a save I can probably duplicate some of them if I can catch it in time..... Thanks!

Some more but you can duplicate these ...

(1) Allied Ship continues to shoot at me (after race diplomacy stops shooting at me) ... Shoot an allied ship but don't destroy it. Next turn the race will holler "quit shooting at me" for 10 turns. The Allied ship will continue to chase my ship on subsequent turns and shoot. Now, I didn't holler at that race to stop shooting at me (perhaps I missed that on the same negotiation process). Anyway, the allied ship shows blue on my radar but apparently my ship must be red on his radar! I have a suggestion that there be one "mutual stop shooting" negotiation so both races can agree to stop shooting and be done with it.

(2) Known Enemies (when race destroyed) ... The Report screen will show a race having a known enemy but when that enemy is destroyed it will still show them as an enemy. If you plan on races being reborn then that's fine, otherwise it's old news I suppose.
