I've had a few days to play the beta and I've seen some odd things, so I'll throw them at you and see if you need a save game because they appear to be easy to duplicate ...
(1) Event Log (regarding Dig Order Completion) ... The Event Log will state that the fleet has completed the "dig order", however when I select the fleet it still shows the active order being dig. I never saw this in the alpha and I'm guessing that when the ship is ordered to dig, it sets a waypoint to the planet but if it gets close to the planet before it finishes it's move then the event log will call the mission complete without waiting for the ship to reach the planet? Anyway, if I don't give the ship another order, and click next turn, it will revert to "awaiting order" (normal) next turn. Really odd but no harm no foul that I can see.
(2) Discovering New Tech (when I already knew it!) ... Most of the time when the dig mission is complete, the discovered tech is already known. I don't remember that being too common in the alpha. One funning tech I (re)discovered was called "Robotics Manufacture", there isn't one but the closest I could see was under "Construction" called "Robotics". Most of the time it rediscovers the same tech but the good news is that I get an advancement in the tech I "newly" discovered ...
(3) Territory Confusion? .... Race gives me his system, then hollers next turn "Quit expanding into my territory" ... This is one of those "Hello McFly?" kind of events
