In fact, in the next game played as Gargal the love potion message was fine with correctly resolve planet name. This time there was another message messed up which I missed to note and therefore unfortunately don't know anymore.
But I have screenshot of another message not working for Barbeck of which I definetly know that it works fine for Humans: Found relic of ancient race. Variables not resolved here:
