[1.0.0.93] Crew experience always veteran?

When I scan a ship in combat mode or look at it's info panel in that mode, there is a crew description that seems to reflect an experience level (veteran). But in all my games I played so far (about 140 hours) I could not see another experience level for my own fleets. As I saw three stars in the ship info panel once for an enemy crew I suppose that this feature is implemented and should work.

Additionally to the bug report I suggest the following:
Maybe showing crew XP as a dedicated line could clearify this? Or at least a tooltip at the ship info panel (hovering over the XP star shows actual value).

I was beginning to wonder about this as well. Will post back in this thread after I do some tests.

Currently ships don't gain experience. Warrior races start at Elite level while everyone else gets Veteran crew. Gaining experience is on the wishlist of things we'd like to add though.
